The Messines Farm team had an incredible day at the Botanical Bazaar 2026 – Gold Coast Garden & Sustainability Festival last Saturday, and we’re still smiling from the overwhelming support we received from the community.
We thought we’d packed enough of our farm-made organic juices, fruit preserves, and seasonal jarred favourites…but we quickly realised otherwise! Throughout the day, we had to make a trip back to our Burleigh Heads office to restock, and by the end of the event, most of our products had completely sold out.
While we were thrilled by the response, what made the day truly memorable wasn’t the empty crates – it was the conversations!
For many visitors, the festival was a chance to reconnect with something that’s becoming increasingly rare: knowing where your food comes from and meeting the people who grow it.
Fresh, locally grown produce was once an everyday part of life, but today those opportunities are often few and far between.
Events like Botanical Bazaar help bridge the gap by bringing growers and communities together. We loved introducing people to the bold, natural flavours that come from fruit grown in healthy soils and harvested in season, while sharing a little taste of the childhood memories that real farm-fresh produce can bring.
Just as rewarding were the many conversations about regenerative agriculture. We enjoyed answering questions about how we care for our orchard, build healthy soils, support biodiversity, and work with nature to grow nutritious food. Seeing so many people curious about farming practices and keen to learn reminded us why community events like these are so important!
At Messines Farm, we believe food has the power to connect people – not only to flavour, but also to the land, the seasons, and the growers behind every harvest. Every bottle of juice, every jar of preserves, and every pieces of fruits tells a story of regeneration, sustainability, and care.
